Matt (who’s blog is well worth checking out, if not bookmarking) has posted his plan for SoFoBoMo, and talks about “chickening out” (I think what he means is succumbing to the ‘gear as subject matter’ cop-out), possibly with a Lomo LCA, Speed Graphic, pinhole or other “crutch to creativity” as he puts it.
I think this is probably closer to the truth, as far as my motivation for using the Widelux goes, rather than the “good opportunity to give it some well deserved use” crap I posted yesterday.
Is this a bad thing? No, I don’t think it’s a bad thing, but it does expose a lack of confidence in myself and my ability to finish the project, which still isn’t necessarily a bad thing. (See, when you blog, it’s easy to justify things to yourself!)
